Fee Structure

While deciding on a law school, tuition fee and living expense is of important concern. The money involved on occasions can in fact become the overbearing determinant. Prospective candidates are usually beset with the following questions: “Can I afford the education cost?” “Will the investment prove worthwhile?” Reaching a decision is based upon the pay back prospects of the degree. Contemporaneously speaking, the financial security offered by a law degree is next to none, with prospects poised to grow further which coupled with the fact of one’s degree coming from a prestigious institution such as GLS and you can be rest assured that you have made a wise financial investment in your future. To answer the first question it should suffice to say that we have a competitive fee structure and provisions for financial aid; and add to that the relatively low living cost afforded by Saharanpur and you have a surprisingly affordable and quality legal education.

  • The tuition fee is charged per annum, payable in two installments with each installment payable in advance at the start of each Semester. The fee may be paid either through demand draft (to be drawn in favor of “The Glocal University” payable at Saharanpur) or through NEFT/RTGS as per bank details given below.

  • After the payment of initial admission fee students are required to pay their entire tuition fee in advance on or before the commencement of each semester. Only after payment of fee the student’s the registration process will be deemed as complete. The fee payment, with/without fine, may be done as per the date notified by the University. The University reserves the right not to register the student beyond the last date of the fee payment with fine.
  • The fee refund will be as per UGC guidelines:- Once admitted if students ask for refund before the commencement of session, the fee refund will be done only after deduction of Rs. 1500/- as administrative charges. After the formal commencement of session, if waitlisted students are available to replace the withdrawn students, the refund shall be on pro-rata basis. The University will formally notify the last date of admission and after closure of admission, no refund will be admissible.

  • The Hostel fee is charged per annum, payable in two installments at the start of each Semester. The Hostel fee includes boarding, lodging, mess charges (Indian food) and other services and facilities except laundry services.
  • After the payment of full Hostel Fee at the start of each semester the student will be registered in the hostel. The fee payment with/without fine may be done as per University notified date. After last date of fee payment with fine, the University reserves the right not to register the student. After 15 days of Registration in the hostel, withdrawal from hostel is not admissible. If still the students want to withdraw, the Hostel fee will get forfeited.
  • The students staying in hostel will have to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel and will have to give an undertaking. Those who report late at the hostel due to university authorized internship may be permitted after payment of the fee and subsequently registered.

Transport Fee

  • Currently there are 13 buses plying on different routes to cater to transport need of students/staff/faculty. The bus routes with area being covered, timings and applicable fee are notified from time to time by the University. Students will have to opt for transport facility to avail the service by giving an undertaking for the same. After submitting the bus option form, the student has to make full payment for the same at the start of each semester.
  • After payment of Bus Fee at the start of each semester the student will be registered for availing bus service. The fee payment with/without fine may be done as per university notified date. After last date of fee payment with fine, the University reserves the right not to register the student. The university may consider starting its bus service for a new route provided a minimum number of students are available to avail the service.

  • The Management reserves the right to grant merit scholarships or merit cum means scholarship or scholarship for economically disadvantaged sections based on submission of requisite documents. The scholarship may be withdrawn at any point of time if the student indulges in indiscipline or performs poorly in academic, extra/co- curricular activity or has less than mandatory attendance.
  • The University has the right to revise the fees. The decision of Management in the fee related matter shall be final and binding to all concerned. All disputes related to any fee matters shall be under the jurisdiction of Saharanpur’s appropriate court.
